How to install

Installing the special fonts found on this site it is very easy.   But do remember to print this page out as it makes it much easier to follow instructions.

Here are 2 main "font set" configurations: Zipped and Not Zipped.

Let us start with those which are not Zipped.   These include Maltese Font sets.


Non-Zipped font sets

Easy -- don't panic, all you have to do is to:

  • First click on the recommended link (i.e. the Font Name)    
    Maltese Font 1 or Maltese Font 2

  • then a dialogue box will pop up ...
    click on "Save this file to Disk" or "Save",
    and hit OK.

  • A second dialogue box will appear headed "Save As."
  • Select the correct drive, i.e.  " C:\ "
  • and create a new Folder named, say, "MALTESE FONTS",
    double-click the folder, and
    when the folder opens, click on "Save"
    and you have just saved a Maltese Font set on your hard drive.

  • NOW, go to 'Control Panel' (from the Start Menu, bottom left of your screen...
    scroll up to 'Settings' and move pointer to the right).
  • Double-click the folder icon for 'FONTS'
    and a window full of icons opens up.
  • Click on 'File' (menu bar, top-left)
    scroll down to Install New Font... and
  • a dialogue box "Add Fonts" pops up.
  • In the bottom-left section "Folders" choose your folder C:\...\maltese fonts

  • Hit ENTER or click "OK"
  • and now you're really done! The font is on your PC, installed and ready to run. You can now read the Maltese fonts on our pages properly, and all thanks to Micro Technologies Consultancy Ltd.



    • Zipped font sets

    To unzip the fonts, first you must have Winzip © on your computer. If you do not already have it, you may install it by visiting their site and downloading the FREE trial version.

    Next, follow these simple steps:

  • First click on the recommended link
  • then a dialogue box will appear
  • choose "Open this file from its current location"
  • and the Winzip © dialogue box will appear.
  • If you choose the "I Agree" button, the rest is easy to follow.
    It is a Wizard, so is easy to execute.

    • just remember to choose the correct Folder when installing fonts;
    save the font to your 'Fonts' folder under 'Windows' directory "C:\Windows\Fonts\... ".
